Tuesday September 26

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

Join staff to discuss ways of using the current exhibition Diné Textiles: Nizhónígo Hadadít’eh in your teaching. Curator Sháńdíín Brown will share an overview of the exhibition—representing 150 years of apparel design from wearing blankets and mantas through contemporary art—and the themes it addresses, including design resilience, the Diné concept of hózhó (balance, beauty, and harmony), and matriarchal teaching. Alexandra Poterack, director of academic programs, will facilitate discussion on building class visits and assignments around the exhibition.
