In celebration of RISD’s upcoming 150th anniversary, we invite our members to join us for a first look of In the Making: 150 Years of Collecting at the RISD Museum. 

Led by Emily Banas, RISD Museum Associate Curator of Decorative Arts & Design, this guided tour will examine how and why objects entered the RISD Museum collection, tracing shifts in institutional priorities and cultural contexts over time. Explore what makes the RISD Museum distinctive: a collection shaped by teaching, experimentation, and an ever-evolving understanding of art and design.
