Artist and former RISD Museum artist fellow Xander Marro shares her new book project on Providence’s Wedding Cake House.

Ready for the House is an illustrated experimental narrative about the DIY feminist artist-led renovation of a Victorian mansion that had sat vacant for nearly thirty years. The book offers a personal, embodied take on a project that navigates questions of how to share spice, lives, resources, labor, and growth outside of traditional family structures.
